1990 ZR-1 formerly owned by Corvette legend Chip Miller. This is a rare chance to own a piece of Corvette history! This car was built November 8, 1989 and purchased new on March 10, 1990 by Corvette enthusiast Bob Gold from Forbes Chevrolet in Camp Hill, PA. Bob sold it to Corvette legend Chip Miller (it was actually titled to Chip's wife Judy) on July 26, 1994 with 11,920 miles on it and Chip drove it and kept in his collection in Carlisle, PA. Chip tragically passed away in March of 2004 from Amlyoidosis. This car had about 21,000 miles when it was sold at the Spring 2006 Carlisle auction (the car is shown on the flyer for this auction) to a dealer from SC for $26,280. This dealer subsequently offered the car at the Mecum auction in Carlisle in April 2006 with a reserve of $49,000 and the Corvettes at Carlisle auction in August 2007 with a reserve of $30,000. It did not sell at either auction and was subsequently stored in an airplane hanger in SC until I purchased it from an agent of this dealer in August 2010. The title signed over to me was still in the name of Judy Miller. Well preserved survivor car that has been well cared for and driven sparingly but enough to keep it dependable. Several stone chips on nose and hood but paint is overall nice and glossy. Interior is excellent. Car is stock and original except for Borla exhaust, 4:10 rear end, and DRM performance computer chip (also have original PROM). Modifications were installed for Chip by his son Lance and are very subtle but make the car very quick and responsive. After market 5 spoke ZR-1 wheels with Sumitomo tires are installed for driving, but also have the original wheels and the original Goodyear tires. Lots of documentation comes with the car but I do not have the "pizza box". Everything works on the car and it drives very well. Maintenance I have done includes replacement of the original injectors (if you have not replaced injectors on an early ZR-1 you will - they are not ethanol friendly) with stainless steel flow matched injectors. This car looks great and runs extremely strong.” I am a lifelong Corvette enthusiast who has owned 24 Corvettes. I know the cars and am meticulous about caring for them. I have driven this car sparingly but regularly to keep it fresh. The car is not perfect but is an extremely nice survivor. Now is the time to buy as after years of ZR-1 values languishing, they are now rapidly appreciating in value as collectors realize the uniqueness of the cars. I have a lot of documentation that goes with the car including build sheet, invoice, window sticker, ZR-1 key chain, auction records, service manuals, driver manuals, etc. Also, this car can be seen in the background in 2 scenes in the movie "The Quest" when they are interviewing Chip in front of his collection. Even 4 of the correct and hard to find blue AC PF970C oil filters are included. This car is available for in person payment and pickup only and is located in Greensboro, NC.
