5th ANNUAL NORTHWEST ZR-1 NET REGISTRY GATHERING July 27th-30th
Greetings to all Northwest ZR-1ers! This year marks the 5th consecutive occurrence of the Northwest ZR-1 Net Registry Gathering, to be held July 27th-30th, 2007 in the Vancouver, Washington/Portland Oregon area. This event is brought to you by the ZR-1 Net Registry (www.zr1netregistry.com) in conjunction with the Rose City Corvettes of Portland, Oregon annual Classic event (www.rosecitycorvettes.org). Last years event brought out a total of 19 ZR-1’s in a rainbow of colors, and this year promises to be even better.
Event Schedule
Friday, July 27. Meet and Greet BBQ in Vancouver, Washington at Jeff and Sam Flint’s house. 6 p.m. to ? All food, beer, wine and soft drinks provided. Drag racing is available at Portland International Raceway until the wee hours. The cost is $18 to run, $8 for spectators.
Saturday, July 28. Largest Corvette-only car show in the Northwest, sponsored by Rose City Corvettes. $20 entry fee. Rags down at 10:00 a.m., judging at 2:00 p.m. Â complementary lunch is served for show participants, courtesy of Rose City Corvettes. Last year, 3 of our ZR-1 faithful took home show trophies. Car Show to be followed by a driving tour and dinner; route and dinner location TBD.
For the really intrepid, yet another night of drag racing at Portland International Raceway is available following the driving tour and dinner. Again, the cost is $18 to run, $8 for spectators.
Sunday, July29. Autocross at Portland International Raceway. Cost is $25, payable in advance or at the event (we recommend you register and pay in advance). Registration at 7:00 a.m., autocross starts at 8:00 sharp. Helmet and car in good technical condition required; inspection required at the event.
Monday, July 30. Track day at Portland International Raceway. Cost is $125, payable in advance or at the event (we recommend you register and pay in advance).
