Replacement in the field and
bench rebuild of alternator
The alternator decided to
start making a raspy sound about the time I entered Montana. It
later seized up just as I was pulling into the motel parking lot
stall. I rented a car to finish my journey then a few days later
returned to replace the alternator using a few cheap tools I picked
up. Greg VanDeventer was kind enough to FedEx me a spare he had. A
real classy guy.
Parking Lot part of the repair then there is another
one on the on the rebuild once I got the unit back home.
The pictures tell the story.
If you want to see
the thumbnail larger then click on it, but of course you knew that
already.
